Jeep Land Safari

An adventure 4x4 style, our Jeep Safari excursion is as wild as they come. Adventure away from the tourist hotspots with a behind-the-scenes tour of Gran Canaria. An unbeatable way to see the stunning landscape in all its glory, this full-day excursion is full with views that are guaranteed to wow.

In the morning, we will head along Los Lomos de Pedro Afonso where the rugged landscape cocoons the winding roads. The excursion explores El Salobre and heads towards the Natural Forest Park of the Pilancones, where you will discover an incredible mix of history and beautiful natural landscapes.

You will see pine-clad mountains, unspoilt backdrops and scenes that are out of this world – so be sure to keep your camera handy!

The excursion will continue to the charming village of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, before our last stop in the village and valley of Fataga, the grand finale to an extraordinary day, where we will stop at a restaurant in case you want to have lunch (optional). Then, before heading back to your hotel we will stop at Mirador Las Moscas.

Palmitos Park

A botanical garden and zoo on the island, featuring Birds of Prey, Dolphins and rare Parrots.

There is a chance if arriving early at the park to have the 'Dolphin Experience' where you get to meet the dolphins, feed them, pet them and do training with them. This is usually about €100 per person.

Loro Parque (Tenerife)

Sadly this one is a lot more difficult to plan since the changes to residents travel came into play, and made it much more expensive.

A full day trip (with an early start), ferry to Tenerife and entry to one of the best zoos Ian has been to, which includes Sea Lions, Dolphins, Orcas, and other rare breed parrots as well as many other endangered animals.

The day trip (IF it is running) costs about €120/€130 each and is only on Thursdays. If it is not running, it would involve car hire and a ferry all being booked separately so can easily hit €300 in total.

Ian really likes it here… imagine Moss from the IT Crowd talking about Sea Parks… “It's the funnest, wettest, most splish-splashy place in the world!”

Fun facts:

The dolphins arena is the same one used in the opening sequence of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy movie.
One of the Orcas is deaf, and they have developed a system to communicate with her using lights.
